I’ll walk you through how to add the News 12 channel to Apple TV via the App Store:
- Turn on your Apple TV and connect it to the Internet. High-speed Internet is recommended for smooth video streaming.
- Open the App Store.
- In the search bar, type “News 12”.
- Select the News 12 app and click Get. This will install the app.
- Exit back to the home screen and launch the newly installed News 12 app.
- An activation code will display on your TV screen, along with the activation URL news12.com/activate.
- Write down the code so you can enter it on the website.
- Grab your phone or laptop and visit news12.com/activate.
- Choose your location:
- The Bronx
- Brooklyn
- Connecticut
- Hudson Valley
- Long Island
- New Jersey
- Westchester
- Enter the activation code and click Submit.
- Select your TV provider from the list and sign in with your account credentials.
- Wait a few seconds for the activation process to complete.
You’re all set! The News 12 app is now ready to use on your Apple TV.
Activate News 12 on Fire TV
Here is the process for enabling News 12 on Amazon Fire TV devices:
- From the Fire TV home screen, go into the Amazon Appstore.
- In the search box, type “News 12”.
- Select the News 12 app and click Get to install it.
- After installation completes, go back and launch the News 12 app.
- You will see a registration code appear on screen. Write this down to use later.
- On your mobile browser or computer, navigate to news12.com/activate.
- Choose your region.
- Enter the registration code you wrote down earlier.
- Select your TV provider and sign in with your account information.
- Wait a few moments for activation to finish.
You will now have the News 12 channel on your Fire TV ready to watch!
Activate News 12 on Android TV
If you want to watch News 12 on your Android TV, use these instructions:
- On Android TV, open the Google Play Store.
- Search for “News 12” and select the app.
- Choose Install to download the app.
- Launch the newly installed News 12 app. You’ll see a unique activation code.
- Note down this code to use on the website.
- Go to news12.com/activate on your phone or computer.
- Pick your region then enter the activation code.

Activate News 12 on Roku (Unavailable)
Note: As of this writing, the News 12 channel is currently unavailable on Roku devices due to disputes between News 12 and Roku. I have included the typical activation process below in case the channel app returns to the Roku store in the future.
- From the Roku home screen, select Streaming Channels.
- Go to Search Channels.
- Type “News 12” using the on-screen keyboard.
- Choose Add Channel.
- Launch the channel to view a registration code.
- Write down this code.
- Visit news12.com/activate and pick your region.
- Enter the code and click Submit.
- Sign in to your TV provider account.
- Allow a few moments for activation to finish.
