What is ctv.ca/activate?
For those new to CTV, it’s one of the biggest TV networks in Canada. They air all kinds of great shows like comedy, drama, reality TV, live sports, award shows and more!
To watch, you just need:
- An active subscription with a Canadian TV provider
- CTV app installed on your streaming device
- 5-digit activation code (I’ll explain more below)

Activate CTV on:
ctv.ca/activate Roku
Here’s the scoop for Roku activation:
- Go to Streaming Channels and search for CTV
- Select Add Channel to install CTV app
- Launch the app and choose Sign In
- Note down the 5-digit code shown on screen
- Visit ctv.ca/activate and sign in with your TV provider
- Enter the code and follow prompts to activate
That’s it! Now you can stream away.
Android TV
- Open Google Play Store on your Android TV
- Search for and install CTV app
- Launch the app and select Sign In under Account Management
- Your activation code will display – don’t close it!
- Grab another device and go to ctv.ca/activate
- Log in with your TV provider account
- Submit the code to link your Android TV

Apple TV
Just a few taps gets you watching CTV on Apple TV:
- Get CTV app from App Store
- Open the app and choose Sign In
- Note the activation code on display
- Visit ctv.ca/activate on phone/computer
- Sign into your TV provider account
- Enter code and wait for activation
- Select your show and press play! 🍿
Amazon Fire TV
Fire TV activation takes less than 5 minutes:
- Search for CTV in Fire TV Find section
- Select Get to install CTV app
- Launch app and access Account Management
- 5-digit code will appear – write it down
- Go to ctv.ca/activate on a browser
- Choose TV provider and sign in
- Input code and complete linking
Boom! Your Firestick is ready for endless entertainment.
Samsung Smart TV
Lastly, here are the steps for Samsung TV:
- Open Smart Hub menu
- Search for and install CTV app
- Launch app and select Sign In
- Unique code will be on your screen
- Visit ctv.ca/activate on mobile or computer
- Log into your TV provider account
- Enter the code to validate
