Ways to Fix Samsung Smart Hub Not Working Problem
There’s a few usual suspects when the Smart Hub goes on the fritz:
- Connectivity issues – Is your WiFi down or acting glitchy? You’ll need a solid internet connection for the Smart Hub to work properly.
- Outdated software – Have you installed the latest Smart Hub software updates? Bugs or compatibility problems with an older version could be the issue.
- Incorrect PIN code – If you entered the wrong PIN too many times, it can unexpectedly lock you out.
- Currently updating – The Smart Hub may be unusable while a software update is in progress. Just wait it out.
Give It a Good Reset
Resetting the Smart Hub essentially reboots the system, clearing any software gremlins. I’d try this first:
- Using your remote, press the Smart Hub button
- Next press the blue D button to access Settings
- Select Reset and press Enter
- Input your 4-digit PIN code (default is 0000)
- Wait for the “Reset Complete” confirmation
You can also reset via Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Reset Smart Hub. Same process of entering PIN and waiting for reset.
Update Software
If you’re still having issues, try checking for a Smart Hub update:
Settings > Support > Software Update
- Select Auto Update to have it automatically download and install
- Or choose Update Now to manually trigger it
Once complete, your TV will automatically reset with the new version.
